A.I.TE.M. is an officially recognised association dedicated to the academic and industrial world, with a special focus on the young.

It promotes the study, the development of knowledge and the application of manufacturing technologies and systems in all their aspects:
–transformation processes of products, from production to assembly, from testing to recycling;
–mechanical and technological characterisation of the transformed materials;
–methodologies and tools for designing transformation systems (instrumental goods), processes, and components;
–programming, management and control of production, assembly, testing, and recycling systems;
–quality management and environmental safeguard management for sustainable development.

A.I.TE.M. promotes events and actions for disseminating knowledge within the manufacturing sector, either autonomously or in collaboration with national and international partners.

Every two years, A.I.TE.M. organises a national conference: the Association’s key moment of vitality is an occasion for meeting and discussing the latest manufacturing topics.

A.I.TE.M. is organised into Sections, promotes the activities of its own Academy to train academic and industrial advanced professionals, and organises themed events such as Manuthon®, dedicated to young innovators nationwide.
