The WEEKO FACTORY 2.0 project aims to develop, create, verify and experimentally validate a new generation pilot factory, capable of carrying out the automated and digital refurbishing of decommissioned ICT devices.
The principles of the circular economy will be concretely applied in order to make the regeneration/reconditioning process of disused ICT devices more efficient and to create added value starting from the waste materials deriving from the disassembly process. The significant improvement will be achieved thanks to the development of an innovative End-2-End digital platform, supported by artificial intelligence algorithms, advanced robotic systems and the application of additive manufacturing techniques.
The companies Comec Innovative srl and Digitalsoft srl, the Polytechnic University of Marche and the University of L'Aquila participate in the project, coordinated by XERA SRL.
