Work in progress for the 17th Conference of the Italian Manufacturing Association, which will be held at the Politecnico di Bari from 10th to 12th September 2025.
The AITEM Conference is intended to be a meeting point for the scientific community of manufacturing systems and technologies. It aims at promoting a fruitful cultural exchange between researchers, professors, and representatives of manufacturing companies on innovative manufacturing topics.
The scientific programme is composed of diverse sessions which enable wide participation to the Conference works, both during preparation and discussion.
Numerous abstracts have been submitted for the presentation sessions and will be carefully examined by the Editorial Committee, chaired by Prof. Livan Fratini of the University of Palermo. There will be four sessions: the Young Researchers’ Session and Traditional Scientific Sessions, with presentations of scientific works on innovative methodologies and technologies applied to the manufacturing sector; the Work in Progress and Laboratories Sessions for presenting “in progress” research activity characterised by results that are not yet consolidated but are of interest to the community; the White Papers Session for presenting the White Papers written by AITEM’s Sezioni, a moment of knowledge and in-depth analysis of emerging technologies and technological advances in more traditional sectors that are strategic for academic and industrial research.
In addition to the presentation sessions, discussion sessions will engage the AITEM community in discussing topics that are broad yet strictly connected to manufacturing. Protagonists will play different roles within different formats, all contributing to debate. The discussion sessions aim at providing suggestions that can spark debate that goes beyond the sessions and continues during the coffee breaks and convivial moments. Brief interventions on specific topics, Speakers’ Corners, TED Talks and/or Companies’ Talks can be included in the programme as discussion sessions.
The Organising Committee of the 17th AITEM Conference, chaired by Prof. Luigi Maria Galantucci and coordinated by Prof. Michele Dassisti, looks forward to welcoming you in Bari!
