AITEM ACADEMY BASIC TRAINING COURSE 2023
PURPOSE
The course aims to provide an overview of the state of the art on the most innovative tools and topics in the area of manufacturing processes and production systems. The course will focus attention on the most current investigation methods and techniques, as well as on the methods of organizing the research itself, also providing the opportunity to learn the use of a typical simulation software.
WHO IS IT FOR
The course is mainly intended for academic research personnel (mainly doctoral students, research fellows and young researchers in the scientific-disciplinary sector ING-IND/16 or related sectors) and industrial personnel actively engaged in R&D activities.
Plan
The course will present the main topics dealt with by the Sections and Working Groups of the Association which develop and disseminate the most advanced knowledge in sectors considered strategic in manufacturing research activities. They represent the bridge between the Association and the Italian industry. A significant part of the course is dedicated to a manufacturing process simulation software tool provided by Hexagon Italia and for which a temporary use license will be issued to each participant.
The interventions will be made by professors and researchers engaged in research activities that the Sections and Working Groups are currently carrying out, as well as by the technical staff of Hexagon Italia.
The course will take place during the 16th AITEM Conference. Participants will therefore have the opportunity to attend the opening session of the conference and, in particular, the "Keynote speeches" and the "Young Researchers Session".
