AUTO-TWIN (GA n. 101092021) was declared the winner of the recent Horizon Europe call "Digital tools to support the engineering of a Circular Economy". AUTO-TWIN, which will be coordinated by Professor Andrea Matta, will transform the Digital Twins approach and provide support for reliable business processes in a Circular Economy. The AUTO-TWIN project aims to revolutionize the current system engineering model by implementing a new automated process-aware discovery method that can be used to create autonomous Digital Twins. With a common data space and smart Green Gateways, it will help companies in complex decision-making processes. The project is focused on supporting circular economies and will showcase its solutions in three distinct value chains: battery refabrication, plastic recycling, and medical device sterilization. With 7.3 million euros in funding, researchers are poised to address the most pressing global challenges in the years ahead.
