Two projects coordinated by MeccPolimi are presented.
CONSTRUCTADD is a 4-years EU project starting in 2022 (EU- RFCS 101057957). It aims to place the Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) in the mainstream of architecture and construction by the year 2026. MeccPolimi will contribute by coordinating the activities in process and material development using a novel construction steel grade for metal AM. Three Metal AM processes will be studied targeting architectural engineering and construction industry: LPBF, LDED, and WAAM. The project aims to reduce the energy consumption of fabricating.

The concluding event of DigiPrime (G.A. 873111), 4-years project H2020 started in 2019, will take place in December. The project represents a significant collaborative effort for the development of a digital platform for Circular Economy. Involving 36 partners from 12 EU Countries, its potential has been demonstrated in 4 technical pilots, 2 cross-regional pilots, and small external consortia selected through open calls, showing the scalability of the developed solutions.
