Two projects involving PoliMI are presented.
DeremCo, funded by the EU I3 program, is entering its crucial phase. The project aims to develop cross-sector, demand-driven circular economy solutions, promoting the reuse of recycled composite materials in high-value products. After integrating the results of previous projects, collected in the book "Systemic Circular Economy Solutions for Fiber Reinforced Composites," DeremCo is launching the scale-up phase with 14 prototypes across various sectors, demonstrating the feasibility of circular value chains.

The research team in PoliMI is collaborating with Advanced Technology Valve S.p.A. on the MISE project “ATV4.0 Smart Manufacturing Systems for Smart Valve.” The goal is to transform the current production system by adopting Smart Factory methodologies to produce Smart Valves, incorporating new manufacturing, assembly, and inspection phases related to the electrification and sensorization of valves for critical applications, such as subsea environments up to 4000 meters deep.
