The Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, in collaboration with NETVAL and Invitalia, has awarded the patent titled "Additive manufacturing process and product obtainable through the process" in the "Future from the Space" section of the Intellectual Property Award 2023. Developed by Manuela Galati, Elena Bassoli, Luca Iuliano, and Andrea Gatto from Politecnico di Torino and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, the patent addresses modern design challenges, enabling the production of components with internal areas with controlled material properties. The award ceremony was held in Rome at the Ministry's headquarters, and the prize includes €10,000 to support further patent development, fostering Italian innovation.
