BioManPI
BIOimlants MANufacturing Process Innovation
BioManPI focuses on and promotes technologies and production processes for biomedical applications that are not yet linked with the industrial field of interest in a convenient way. In particular, BionManPI interacts with companies dealing with specific and bespoke processes in addition to multinational corporations.

Mission
BioManPI section is involved in a progressive investigation and promotion of all the intersectoral activities that may represent an unexplored field for industrial innovation, and, thanks to an accurate sector analysis, lay the foundations for an improved networking between the Universities taking part to the Section and the companies supporting the Section itself.
Industrial realities for which the biomedical applications are seen as an integration of the main manufacturing routes face a risk of questioning about the strategic importance of the biomedical applications.
The paramount importance of the process optimization and/or the interdisciplinarity that the biomedical sector actually needs is crucial to avoid a progressively decaying interest toward the product/process innovation. The BioManPI Section, being the outcome of the networking among different academic realities bringing complementary interests within the same common field of biomedical manufacturing, aims at clearly identifying the critical points and the gaps-to-be-bridged not only from the manufacturing and applicative perspective but also related to the explicit need of a clear communication between stakeholders and production realities.
Moreover, thanks to the involvement of the companies highlighting the role of the scientific innovation throughout the whole value chain (design, manufacturing and marketing of current and innovative solutions), the section will pave the way to the establishment of modern realities where research and technologic development may be properly bonded to effectively recognize innovative bespoke biomedical solutions for patients, biologists, biotechnologist, doctors, lab technicians and researchers.
