On June 8, 2023, the workshop "Advanced Automation and Efficiency of Production Processes" took place at the Laboratory of Advanced Mechatronics (LAMA FVG) of the University of Udine.
The event saw the participation of University authorities, Confindustria Udine, the regional cluster for the metalworking industry COMET, and representatives from significant companies in the northeastern region.
In addition to presentations about the technical activities carried out at LAMA FVG, such as 3D printing of metals and autonomous programming of machine tools, Bettin from Pietro Rosa TBM presented the vision of "Intelligent Process Automation." Zanone and Osman from Faber illustrated the company's perspective on the Industry 4.0 theme.
Of particular interest was the presentation by Dr. Totis about the upcoming "Machining for AeroSpace" Section of AITEM.
To conclude, Hexagon – main technical partner of LAMA FVG – showcased recent solutions for "Robotic Measurement Islands."
